Trying yet again...

OK, seven years have gone by. Things change. I am going to post again. I've been using facebook for my art posts, but I think it has come time to revamp this blog and start again. More to come, and it is not going to take seven years!

The following images are one I did in 2005. They are primarily pen and marker work. Usually I would work on them during breaks and lunch at work. Two of the pieces are in private collections. I am considering doing a new series on the host next. Future posts will be graphics, paintings and sculpture. I am beginning to understand this program's bells and whistles a bit better now

OK, it has been a while. Family medical problems and job hunting have eaten away at my time.At this point I will start showing examples of my graphic design work as well. The following images are for an August conference program for the Georgia Psychology association. If I have time this morning, i will also post some ink drawings from 2005 and a small painting from this summer.

And so it begins......

Welcome to my blog! The purpose being to have a spot to exhibit my art that I am currently working on. Why the strange name for the blog? Well, at the end of last summer 2009, I did a small drawing of a crow with the moon behind him. Crows to me are wondrous birds. They are extremely intelligent, with a long, multi-cultural history of myth and legend. The moon is an image that often shows up in my artwork. As for alchemy. that applies to my belief that a person's art helps one to grow and become a better human being. Basically changing dross to gold. As I get a handle on the editing here I will bring you photos of work in progress and finished pieces. I also plan to eventually link this to a future website. So come along with me for a while. I plan to have fun here and I hope you do too!
